in the wine - producing commune of St Cyr en Bourg, the Domaine Fouet
perpetuates the family tradition of six generations. At the heart
of the SAUMUR CHAMPIGNY appellation, Patrice and Julien Fouet are
today responsible for a wine producing domain of some 15 hectares,
combining modern techniques and respect for tradition.

Thanks to our faithfull
clientele, 40 % private, 40 % restaurateurs, and 20 % export
(USA, Australia, England, Germany and Belgium), the Domain FOUET
allows itself the means to produce wines of quality, destined
for a clientele of connoisseurs.
A preocupation
with quality....
From the pruning of the
vines (low output), to bottling (without filtering), everything
is put in place to obtain the best possible quality of wine,
a reflection of the SAUMUR CHAMPIGNY soil and of our experience.
All these qualitative measures enable us to obtain many awards
in various competitions (Guide Hachette of wine for exemple).
Respect for the environment.
With concern for respect
of the environment, the vines of the Domaine are not chemically
weeded but treated to encourage the grass between the vines.
In addition to the ecological aspect, this technique offers
qualitative advantages in the wines: reduction of output, increased
natural alcohol level, and reduction of rot.
